  • Defending manufacturer of optical and photography equipment against patent infringement assertions relating to digital consumer camera technology in federal district court and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Defending social networking service against patent infringement assertions relating to network routing technology.
  • Defended multinational consumer electronics company against patent infringement assertions relating to networking technology in two jury trials in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.*
  • Defended multinational telecommunications company against patent infringement assertions relating to networking technology.*
  • Represented multinational technology company in Section 337 investigation asserting three patents related to graphics processing. Administrative Law Judge recommended that the infringing products be excluded from the U.S.*
  • Represented pharmaceutical company in action brought against the USPTO under the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) regarding the proper calculation of patent term adjustment for patent relating to cancer treatment, successfully obtaining the withdrawal of a holding of abandonment.*
  • Represented medical device company in Section 337 investigation asserting infringement of patents relating to hemostatic devices and their use in surgery. Secured a favorable settlement shortly before the Administrative Law Judge’s initial determination was due.*
  • Represented oilfield services company in its assertion of patents relating to marine seismic exploration technology against two major competitors in federal district court and the USPTO.*

Trade Secret

  • Defended technology startup and its principals in federal litigation involving the Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA), state trade secret laws, breach of contract and associated claims related to software used by ticket brokers to price tickets.
  • Represented provider of cloud-based clinical trial management software in federal litigation alleging competitor’s misappropriation of trade secrets in violation of the DTSA and related state laws.*
