Perkins Coie lawyers were mentioned in "Idaho Judge Imposes $8M Bond In Micron 'Patent Troll' Row," an article in Law360,* regarding a federal judge's decision to set a bond based on a provision in the Idaho Bad Faith Assertions of Patent Infringement Act that is "designed to discourage patent trolls."
U.S. District Judge David C. Nye's 30-page order imposed the seven-figure bond on patent owner Longhorn following his determination that Micron has raised enough evidence to plead Longhorn wrongfully asserted semiconductor technology patents against it in related litigation.
Micron is represented by Amanda Tessar, Daniel Graham, David T. Krueck, M. Craig Tyler and Trevor J. Bervik of Perkins Coie LLP in both disputes.
