Joy Tranel Business Professional

Joy Tranel is a senior discovery consultant with the firm’s E-Discovery Services & Strategy practice. Joy brings a wealth of experience from the e-discovery industry, having worked as a discovery attorney, within the government as a contractor, with an e-discovery provider, and with multiple law firms as a project manager. Joy has worked on a broad range of matters, including labor and employment, patent, antitrust, criminal, and white collar litigation and investigations. She has considerable experience working with both the Federal Aviation Administration and the U.S. Department of Justice. Joy also has international experience, having worked on multiple global and cross-border cases while living in the United Kingdom.

Joy consults with attorneys on e-discovery matters to recommend technology solutions that target relevant data, enhance and manage document review, and conserve cost. She also ensures that matter requirements are met through the project life cycle, frequently advising case teams on collection, early case assessment, production workflows, and the application of technology-assisted review. Joy also has substantial experience on the back end of e-discovery technology and was responsible for the setup, rollout, and support of Relativity in the hosted environment at her previous firm for all of its Europe, Middle East, and Africa offices.

Joy is a Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) and a Relativity Certified User (RCU). She has experience with a wide range of other e-discovery technologies, including Ontrack Inview, Ringtail, Clearwell, iConect, Summation, Concordance, ZANTAZ, Stratify, Discovery Assistant, CaseMap, TextMap, and TrueCrypt/VeraCrypt.
