SEATTLE (November 21, 2022)—Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that it has been ranked the top firm for representing defendants in abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) litigation in U.S. district courts by Docket Navigator’s 2022 “U.S. Patent Litigation Special Report.”

The firm was recognized for achieving a 90% defense win rate among 10 outcomes recorded from 2017 to October 3, 2022, and logging 1,441 patent case representations since 2008, 76% being for patent challengers. Perkins Coie also ranked among the top firms representing defendants in non-ANDA cases, with a 99.1% win rate out of 106 cases in that same five-year period.

Docket Navigator’s third-quarter “U.S. Patent Litigation Special Report” utilizes statistics from U.S. district courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission to track trends in filing numbers in computers, communication and e-commerce, semiconductors and memory, circuits and measuring and testing, optics and photocopying, networking, multiplexing, cable and security, biotechnology, and organic chemistry.
