SEATTLE (February 13, 2024)—Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that the firm has been recognized by Lex Machina in its annual Patent Litigation Report as one of the most active law firms for patent litigation and post-grant work in the United States.

Of the national law firms hired the most for patent defense cases, Perkins Coie ranked fourth, with 200 cases across 27 jurisdictions from 2021 to 2023. This is the fourth year in a row that Perkins Coie has achieved this placement. The firm also appeared in the list of top firms with the highest number of Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) trials in the three-year period.

Lex Machina’s Patent Litigation Report summarizes federal district court data from the past decade and post-grant data since the PTAB’s inception in 2012. The report also identifies key patent litigation trends that emerged in the last year.
