PORTLAND (March 13, 2023)—Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that partner Alletta Brenner has been recognized as a Best LGBTQ+ Lawyer Under 40 by the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. Alletta is a product liability litigator in the firm’s Portland office. 

Each year, the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association recognizes leading LGBTQ+ legal professionals under the age of 40 who have “distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBTQ+ equality.” This year’s award winners will be recognized during the 2023 Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair in Chicago.

Alletta was honored in part for her pro bono work in support of the LGBTQ+ community. She has worked with various organizations and projects in Oregon to advance LGBTQ+ rights, including the Religious Exemption Accountability Project (REAP), Basic Rights Oregon, and OGALLA — the LGBT Bar Association of Oregon.  

Alletta also makes a strong effort to be visible as a queer role model within the firm. An active participant in the firm’s LGBTQ+ Resource Group, she has also invested significant time in mentoring diverse associates and counsel and has contributed to Perkins Coie’s inclusion initiatives on behalf of LGBTQ+ lawyers and business professionals, such as including pronouns on email signature blocks.
