Stephanie Vancil de Oliveira represents clients in complex commercial disputes, including corporate policyholders in insurance disputes involving commercial property damage, products liability, intellectual property liability, privacy liability, environmental liability, and directors’ and officers’ liability. Stephanie counsels corporations with regard to insurance coverage, including analysis of insurance policies and assistance with broker request for proposals, policy placement, and renewals.
Stephanie has experience in drafting contractual provisions regarding insurance, defense, and indemnity obligations, developing case strategy, researching and analyzing complex legal issues, managing document production and privilege logs, drafting written discovery responses, briefing dispositive motions, settlement negotiations, and drafting settlement agreements.
Prior to joining Perkins Coie Stephanie clerked for the Hon. Dean E. Ochiai of the First Circuit Court of the State of Hawaii in Honolulu and Hon. Richard Clifton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Stephanie maintains an active pro bono practice and has experience working with clients on a wide range of matters, including landlord tenant law, immigration law, and civil rights law.
