Navneet Mattu concentrates on corporate law, with a primary focus on advising emerging growth companies and venture capital firms. She counsels clients on various transactional matters, including company formations, venture financings, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private investment in public equity (PIPE) offerings, and various secondary transactions.
Navneet is a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she served as the senior articles editor for Hastings Law Journal. Navneet was the 2018 Western Region Champion of the Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition and served as president of the Hastings South Asian Law Students Association.
Navneet gained experienced as a legal intern at Twitter, Inc. Her responsibilities included counseling product teams on guidelines surrounding use of data and content received through third-party application programming interface (API). She also drafted commercial agreements for Twitter products, services, and revenue-based partnerships and advised the legal team based on research involving the enforceability of global click-wrap and browse-wrap agreements. Navneet’s role also included identifying and evaluating areas of risk within the company based on passage of new laws concerning the Communications Decency Act (CDA).
