Sterling v. Davita Inc.

U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington
Counsel for DaVita in ERISA action seeking to invalidate client's efforts to require documentation for dependent beneficiaries of employer health care plan.  Action dismissed with prejudice.

Reinking v. Alyeska Pipeline Service Co.

Defended a claim for benefits under pension and severance plans on appeal from district court summary judgment order in plaintiff’s favor.  Obtained reversal on appeal.   539 F. App'x 780 (9th Cir. 2013)

Defense of ERISA class action by retirees over health and pension benefits. Dismissed. (1996)

Goeller v. International Business Machines Corporation

U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois
Defended plaintiff who claimed that he had been terminated in violation of the Age Discrimination Employment Act and in order to deny him certain benefits in violation of ERISA. Summary judgment granted.  2005 WL 1311268 (N.D. Ill. 2005)
