The sixth hearing in the Federal Trade Commission’s “Competition and Consumer Protection in the 21st Century” series, took place Nov. 6 - 8, 2018. Titled “The Intersection of Big Data, Privacy, and Competition,” it covered key issues around the intersection of consumer protection and competition law — where the two areas of law intersect in the context of big data, who should regulate the intersection, and what that regulation should look like.
