Rick Sevcik and Tammy Baldwin were quoted in “Perkins Coie Announces New Location in Chicago,” an article in The American Lawyer,* regarding the firm's new Chicago office.

Perkins will occupy three full floors of the building, the firm stated. The move has been in the works for about three years, added Chicago managing partner Rick Sevcik, so it wasn’t caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

But a lot of the changes—a smaller, but more open space designed with hoteling potential in mind and without the expectation that all 250-plus employees would be in simultaneously—will align with the post-pandemic office environment, Rick said in an interview last week.

“And so, for all of our offices, we are focusing more on front-of-house amenities and making sure the client experience is memorable. Let’s make it a destination; let’s make it feel good,” chief of business operations, Tammy Baldwin, said at the time.
