Overview

Tammy Baldwin is responsible for the smooth and cohesive management of Perkins Coie’s operations both in the United States and internationally. She oversees a workforce of 550 professionals and plays a critical role in the planning and implementation of the firm’s daily business activities.

Tammy’s role requires attention to the day-to-day as well as the ability to anticipate and address coming changes and threats across the firm. As the leader of Perkins Coie’s Business Resilience effort, Tammy provided essential guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on safety, flexibility, and wellness for attorneys, business professionals, and their families during a highly dynamic time. In the next phase of the pandemic, she collaborated with other firm leadership to develop and implement the hybrid work protocols. In coordination with the firm’s technology team, she has helped guide ransomware planning, including leading simulation activities to hone responses and develop education and communication best practices.

Responsible for oversight of the firm’s real estate footprint, Tammy helped develop and execute innovative, client-focused real estate use, including implementing the hoteling model in larger office spaces. She has been a strong advocate and advisor in developing the firm’s space as a destination for clients, employees, and friends of the firm. In each of the firm’s regions, she implements the consistency and service of the One Firm Solutions approach. Tammy also manages Perkins Coie’s shared services, including the copy and mailing center, the legal support and document processing center, and travel.

Tammy is frequently interviewed by leading trade and general media on numerous topics, including the firm’s hybrid work policy, its approach to real estate use, and other operations issues.
