SEATTLE, Wash. (October 29, 2014) - Perkins Coie represented Snapshot Mobile, a developer of mobile solutions to support automobile sales, in the sale of its auto dealership texting business, CarcodeSMS, to Edmunds.com, Inc., a car-shopping website serving nearly 18 million visitors each month. CarcodeSMS allows mobile shoppers to send text messages to dealerships directly and provides salespeople with a platform to manage and respond to the texts. Co-founders Nick Gorton, Steve Schwartz and Prabode Weebadde wanted to provide an avenue for potential car buyers who prefer text messaging to connect with to auto dealerships.

Led by Seattle partner Ben Straughan, the Perkins Coie team also included Seattle partners Carl Crow, Robert Mahon and Kirk Soderquist, Seattle associate Graham Hennessey and Chicago associate Lauren Matecki.
