SEATTLE (April 4, 2023)Perkins Coie is proud to announce its inclusion on the 2023 Fortune “100 Best Companies to Work For®” —the firm’s 21st consecutive year on the list. The firm ranks 39 this year.

“Our collegial and inclusive workplace culture is critical to our success as a firm, and we know that continuous investments in our lawyers and business professionals also enable us to best serve our clients,” said Bill Malley, Perkins Coie’s firmwide managing partner. “We remain committed to building the best workplace culture we can, where our diversity and differences are a force multiplier for our firm and our clients.”

Over the past year, the firm has added a range of health and well-being offerings to its robust benefits program for its lawyers and business professionals. Some of the additions include expanded mental health services, parental leave policies and personal medical leave policies; a Peloton discount program and free access to the Peloton app; free access to the Calm app; and regular opportunities for personnel to connect and collaborate. The firm reinstated a variety of in-person conferences and retreats for its personnel at the practice group and department level, which had been conducted virtually during the pandemic. The firm also maintains a hybrid work culture that supports the individual working lifestyles of its lawyers and business professionals, as well as its signature sabbatical program.

“We are honored to once again receive this important recognition from Fortune, and we know that continually investing in our people is a business imperative that yields many dividends,” said Jennifer Bluestein, Perkins Coie’s chief talent officer. “Our goal as a firm is to consistently improve, year over year, the work experience for all of our people, as we know that when they succeed, they are able to deliver even higher levels of service and solutions to our clients.”

To determine the 100 Best Companies to Work For®, Fortune partners with Great Place To Work to survey and analyze the anonymous survey responses of more than half a million employees from Great Place To Work Certified™ companies with at least 1,000 workers. Recognition by Fortune is based on a company’s ability to offer positive outcomes for its employees regardless of job role, race, gender, sexual orientation, work status, or other demographic identifiers.

Perkins Coie is regularly recognized for its dedication to fostering a work environment in which all lawyers and business professionals can reach their full potential and for its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion within the legal industry. The firm was awarded Mansfield 5.0 Certification Plus for Diversity Leadership and has been named an Inclusion Blueprint Champion by Diversity Lab. Additionally, Intel recognized the firm in 2022 as its most diverse law firm for a third straight year, and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation has awarded the firm its top rating of 100% in the Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality, for 14 straight years.
