SEATTLE, Wash. (April 7, 2014) – Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Magazine has ranked Perkins Coie #3 Overall among U.S. law firms for Patent Quality in 2014 - the fifth consecutive year Perkins Coie has been ranked in the Top 10 Law Firms. 

Based on research commissioned by IAM Magazine from Ocean Tomo’s Patent Ratings® business, the 2014 IAM/Ocean Tomo Quality Report evaluates which law firms secure the highest quality granted patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for their clients. 

For 2014, Perkins Coie improved its previous rankings moving from 4th to 3rd in the Overall - All Industries ranking for preparing and prosecuting the highest quality patents category and from 6th to 4th in the Information Technology category.  The firm also broke into the Industrials category in the #1 position.
