PALO ALTO, Calif. (June 25, 2018) - Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Palo Alto partner Julie E. Schwartz has been named to the Daily Journal's 2018 "Top 40 Under 40" list. Each year, the Daily Journal “celebrates the achievements of lawyers under the age of 40” licensed in the state of California.

Julie, a litigation attorney, represents internet and technology companies—from the most well-known names to startups—in cutting-edge privacy and data security actions around the country. These matters involve novel issues under the Communications Decency Act, the First Amendment, the Stored Communications Act, and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, as well as other state and federal laws. Julie is a member of Perkins Coie’s Electronic Communications Privacy Act compliance team and works with clients on data security issues and third-party requests for information. She also regularly counsels clients on compliance with California’s Proposition 65 law (Prop 65) and defends Prop 65 disputes for clients in the consumer product space.
