PHOENIX, Ariz. (April 29, 2016) - Perkins Coie announces with sadness the death of colleague and friend Jake Robertson on April 23, 2016. He was 37.

Jake, who joined Perkins Coie as an associate in 2006, was counsel in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice where he represented technology companies, financial institutions and other clients in complex commercial disputes ranging from breach of contract to business torts, such as unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, fraud, interference with contract, breach of fiduciary duty, negligent misrepresentation and commercial defamation.

Jake was deeply committed to his community, dedicating significant pro bono hours assisting those who had no legal recourse. He also served on the board of Raising Special Kids and coached youth soccer.
He was known by his colleagues for his creative analysis and precise writing, strength as a litigator, and his calm, even-handed optimistic outlook. His legal analysis and insights on case matters were thoughtful and astute.

Jake was greatly respected and admired within the Perkins Coie community; he will be missed.
