SEATTLE, Wash. (May 31, 2017) – Underscoring its commitment to leverage innovation to improve client service and add value to client relationships, Perkins Coie was pleased to present its new patent prosecution dashboard at this month’s Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) in Las Vegas. The web-based tool, called the Perkins Coie Patent Prosecution Platform, or “P4”, brings patent prosecution data and financial data into a single, user-friendly interface for workload management.

Developed in collaboration with legal service provider Elevate, the P4 dashboard was presented at CLOC by Senior Practice Manager Joe Woods. The dashboard facilitates the management of patent prosecution portfolios for large corporations by displaying current matter status, upcoming deadlines, and progress towards budget information in real time. To clients, this means greater confidence that drafting and prosecution activities will be handled on time and on budget.

“As law firms continue to evolve to meet the demands of their clients in a hypercompetitive marketplace, the project management model that we apply to client work needs to progress, too,” said Rick Howell, Chief Information Officer at Perkins Coie. “The P4 dashboard is another component of the business services being offered by Perkins Coie to help clients realize maximum value when working with us.”

“Partnering with Elevate allowed us to tap into existing technologies to create an efficient, innovative workload management solution,” Howell said. “This corresponds well to the deep relationships and exceptional service we provide to our corporate clients as we assist them in optimizing their patent prosecution activities.”
