SEATTLE (November 22, 2021)—Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that five attorneys have been promoted to senior counsel, effective January 1, 2022. Senior counsels have at least eight years of experience, are recognized for delivering high-quality legal work, are able to supervise junior lawyers and staff, and collaborate with partners on managing client engagements. 

The Perkins Coie 2022 Senior Counsel Class includes:

Ryan B. Hawkins (San Diego) is a member of the Intellectual Property practice. Ryan is a technology attorney with 13 years of experience handling complex U.S. and international litigations, providing product counseling and IP portfolio management, and addressing evolving privacy issues. Ryan’s computer science and programming background gives him a unique understanding of the IP issues facing technology companies, which allows him to “talk the talk” with engineers and explain complex technical issues for judges, juries, or executives.

 

 

Eric Grayson Holmes (Washington, D.C.) is a member of the Commercial Litigation practice. Grayson focuses on environmental litigation and helping clients navigate complex legal and factual issues, particularly relating to hazardous waste cleanup. Grayson handles cases involving the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Washington's Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and other environmental statutes.

Lauren Pardee Ruben (Denver) is a member of the Commercial Litigation practice. Lauren focuses on appellate litigation and dispositive motions. She has drafted briefs filed before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals, state appellate courts, and various trial courts across the country. Her practice covers a wide range of subject areas and issues, including civil procedure, class action litigation, constitutional law, statutory interpretation, and complex commercial litigation. Before joining Perkins Coie, Lauren clerked at the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the Supreme Court of California.

 

 

Sharona Toobian (Los Angeles) is a member of the Real Estate & Land Use practice. Drawing from her experience representing all sides of a transaction, Sharona advises her clients on leasing, acquisition, and financing of real estate matters. She is directly involved in the negotiation of primary deal agreements and advises on title, survey, and other due diligence matters for retail, office, hotel, and residential properties.
