In addition to private claims under laws like the CCPA and Biometrics statutes, we are also seeing lawsuits related to algorithmic discrimination, use of data to train AI, and webscraping claims become more prevalent. The rulemaking under the CPRA, and the possibility of federal privacy legislation, will continue to complicate this landscape.”
