Marc Martin was quoted in the Law360 article, “Top 4 Groups Lobbying The FCC” regarding top four groups that have filed ex partes with the FCC.

“Deregulatory action is still action, and so there’s going to be ... those who want deregulation; they have pent-up demand with their wishlist that they want to bring to the chairman, to the other commissioners,” Marc S. Martin said. “So they’re going to be meeting with the eighth floor to get through their deregulatory steps.”

Marc S. Martin also said Pai seems to enjoy policy debates and was once a practitioner before the FCC who likes getting personally involved in issues. As a minority commissioner, Pai wrote detailed dissents that were “almost like a legal brief” replete with footnotes.

“I think that reflects his kind of zest for the policy debate,” Martin said.
