Partner Marc Martin was quoted in “3 Things to Know About Sohn's FCC Confirmation Chances,” an article in Law360,* regarding how Gigi Sohn, a progressive nominated by President Joe Biden for an open Democratic seat on the Federal Communications Commission, could appeal to stakeholders.

Still, given the number of angles from which Sohn could appeal to stakeholders, Perkins Coie communications industry group chair Marc Martin said she will likely garner a majority vote in the Senate.

"I would not be surprised if she's developed positive relationships with both sides of the aisle," Marc said. "People may disagree with her on her policies like net neutrality, but I think that many fair-minded people will say, 'I still respect her.'"
