Jon Jacobs was featured in the FTC: Watch article, "Veteran DOJ lawyer Jon Jacobs Jumps to Perkins Coie." Susan Foster comments on Jon's addition to Perkins Coie.

As he was considering the firm, Jacobs said that it was quickly apparent that “the collegial culture was everything that it was advertised to be, and I really liked and respected the attorneys that I met.”

Jacobs also saw a good fit in terms of the kinds of work that the firm offers. “It provides me an opportunity to do a variety of antitrust work. They have got some government-facing work with mergers as well as a thriving private antitrust litigation practice,” he said. “I liked the opportunity to do both civil and criminal work and do both public and private antitrust litigation work.”

He also was impressed by a comment made by the chair of the litigation practice in Seattle, the firm’s headquarters. “I asked her what do you think distinguishes your firm from some of the others, and she said, ‘In the era where there are not that many trials, we still try cases.’”

Susan Foster, co-chair of Perkins Coie’s antitrust & unfair competition litigation practice, in a statement, extolled Jacob’s litigation experience, saying that his addition to the firm “strengthens the value of our national antitrust practice, particularly our cartel and healthcare antitrust practice, and adds gravitas to our deep bench of litigators.”
