Hayden Schottlaender was mentioned in “Justice Department Drops Subpoena for Information on Devin Nunes Parody Twitter Account,” for representing client Twitter regarding a U.S. Department of Justice subpoena that had sought information about a Twitter user who parodied Rep. Devin Nunes.
Hayden wrote in a declaration made public Monday that an assistant U.S. attorney in Washington told him in January that the subpoena was issued as part of a criminal investigation into “threatening communications in interstate commerce” and specifically pointed to an area of the law related to threats to kidnap or injure. The Justice Department, Hayden said, declined to provide further information.
