Markus Funk in downtown Chicago at Northwestern School of Law as they share insights from the updated and expanded second edition of their highly-acclaimed (and just-published book), “Child Exploitation and Trafficking: Examining Global Enforcement and Supply Chain Challenges and U.S. Responses.” University of Chicago Law School Dean, Thomas J. Miles will deliver opening remarks.

"A milestone on the road to improved policy in this difficult and important area [and] an invaluable resource." U.S. Circuit Judge Richard A. Posner in response to the book's first release.

“[A] one-stop source on the subject.” Chicago Sun-Times

During this book launch discussion, Mr. Funk and Judge Kendall will in particular discuss:

  • New laws and regulations related to human trafficking and supply chain compliance – today’s #1 emerging compliance "hot topic" for companies and organizations.
  • The history and present-day realities of trafficked, child, and other forms of forced labor in domestic and transnational business supply chains.
  • Bribery as an integral part of coordinated exploitation.
  • U.S. and global legislative and enforcement efforts to combat these scourges.

We look forward to having you join us for the discussion and networking reception.
