Partner Barak Cohen was quoted in “Justice Thomas Wades Into Cannabis Law. Now What?” an article in the San Francisco Daily Journal, regarding the regulations on cannabis.

“It will be something that echoes and resonates for a long time and helps change the [federal] cannabis scheme,” said Barak Cohen, the chair of Perkins Coie LLP’s cannabis industry group

Barak said he expects Thomas’ opinion to be cited repeatedly in cannabis cases and invoked in political debates, especially among conservatives most resistant to marijuana.

“It’s going to be used as another arrow in the quiver they fire at the federal government concerning the cannabis regime,” he said/ “on the margins, it may make a difference.”
