Law360 quoted Barak Cohen in an article, "In Court Without Juries, Leak In AIG Suit May Be Disastrous," regarding litigation involving the 2008 bailout of American International Group Inc., and the potential for a media leak to influence the trial of the matter before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Perhaps the biggest setback of all could be a change in the "optics" of the case, as Barak Cohen, senior counsel at Perkins Coie LLP, put it. "To me, it's not the contempt or the fines or the sanctions that have the biggest effect. It's how you affect the judge's view of the case in general," Cohen said. "They don't have jury trials at the Court of Federal Claims. If you're affecting the judge's view of the case and the parties, then you're doing a lot."
