"A stretch goal is that we'd like to see representation on boards be reflective of representation in society, so that's 50%," Allison told Law360 Pulse on Monday in an interview.

"When it got started in 2014, we saw that Washington was a little behind where other states were in terms of women on boards," Allison said. "And we really viewed ourselves, as business leaders in Seattle, as having an opportunity to help make a difference. And so we started OnBoarding Women, and we think we've helped move the needle in getting women executives in the Seattle area and across Washington ready to be on boards."
