Denver Partner T. Markus Funk and his team, representing a Swiss-based conglomerate that owns Costa Rica’s larges citrus producer (the “Personna” farm), prevailed against DuPont in a lawsuit concerning the fungicide “Benlate.”  Following a month-long trial in Miami state court, the jury awarded plaintiffs $6 million.  DuPont was represented by three law firms, namely, Bartlit Beck Herman Palenchar & Scott, Boies Schiller & Flexner, and Shook, Hardy & Bacon.  The trial of the twenty-two remaining Costa Rican plaintiff-farms under the caption have yet to be scheduled.
