Ted Boling Quoted in, "The Trump Policy That Climate Advocates Want Biden To Keep Intact (Mostly)," an article in Politico Pro, regarding the goals to hasten a major expansion of renewable energy and transmission projects designed to combat climate change and decarbonize the economy.
Ted Boling, the former lead NEPA attorney at CEQ in the Trump and Obama administrations, said nine offshore wind projects currently in the permitting process are being developed under Trump’s streamlined NEPA reviews. Boling warned against dramatic changes from Biden that could inject uncertainty into the approval process.
“We are at an unusually tumultuous point right now because there are projects scheduled to have draft [environmental impact statements] come out, and we need them to move forward and be well coordinated,” said Ted Boling, who now represents renewable energy companies at the firm Perkins Coie.
