WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 20, 2017) – Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Christopher J. Hagan has joined the firm’s Corporate practice as a partner in the Washington, D.C. office with a focus on private equity matters and mergers and acquisitions.

Chris has more than 25 years of experience in the private equity space, where he leads and advises on private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, growth equity financings and management incentive structuring, as well as and general corporate law. He focuses on representing middle and lower middle market private equity funds and their portfolio companies in buyout transactions, add-on acquisitions, divestitures and general corporate matters. Chris also represents private equity investment funds, hedge funds, family offices, fundless sponsors, management teams and institutional investors. He has worked with nearly 100 fund portfolio companies serving outside general counsel and guiding them in corporate governance, M&A, divestitures, equity and debt financings, restructurings, stockholder agreements, LLC agreements, commercial contracts, venture capital financings, executive compensation and employment arrangements, joint ventures and recapitalizations. Chris earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Albion College. Before joining Perkins Coie, Chris was a partner with Brown Rudnick.
