SEATTLE, Wash. (January 14, 2016) - Perkins Coie is pleased to announce the promotion of Rick Howell to Chief Information Officer. Rick has served as the firm’s Director of Financial Systems since 2010.

“Through his tenure as a leader in our Technology group, Rick demonstrated that he has the technical skills, innovative thinking and personal qualities needed to lead our first-class technology team,” said Steve Hedberg, Perkins Coie’s Chief Operating Officer. “Rick’s experience and vision will help ensure our firm continues building best-in-class technology tools and solutions for our lawyers in service to clients.”

Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Rick held a number of technology leadership roles at national law firm McDermott Will & Emery, including managing that firm’s application architecture and serving as a strategic technology advisor. Additionally, Rick served as technology director of California-based firm Downey Brand LLP and as a financial systems technology consultant and project manager. Rick is a graduate of the University of California, Davis.
