SEATTLE (July 8, 2019) - Perkins Coie announces with sadness the death of colleague, partner and friend Richard R. Rohde on July 6, 2019.

Dick joined Perkins Coie in September 1976 as an associate and was promoted to partner in 1983.  He was a founding partner of Perkins Coie’s Technology Transactions & Privacy practice, which he co-chaired for six years. Dick focused his practice on licensing and technology transfers and the commercialization of technology, and he was considered one of the most respected licensing lawyers in the field.   

Dick was also highly involved in the leadership of the firm, having served for two terms on the Executive Committee and multiple times on several other firmwide committees. Dick was also highly active in mentoring, training and developing associates, counsel and junior partners.

Dick was greatly respected and admired by friends and colleagues. He will be missed by all.
