(July 9, 2018) - Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that it has recently joined a select group of law firms in achieving ISO 27001 certification—a globally accepted benchmark from the International Organization for Standardization for managing information assets and security. The certification encompasses an extensive framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in the firm’s information risk management processes. The certification was performed by Schellman & Company, LLC, an ANAB and UKAS accredited certification body.

ISO 27001 is the international standard that describes best practices for an information security management system. Achieving ISO 27001 certification demonstrates that Perkins Coie is following information security best practices and delivers an independent, expert assessment of whether the firm’s data is adequately protected.
