Partner James Williams was quoted in “What's Keeping Managing Partners Up at Night in 2022,” an article in Law360,* regarding the unknowns of COVID-19 and the firm's decision to not limit technology to only attorneys.

"We will have some reticence on behalf of people to congregate, and I don't blame them," said James Williams, Seattle office managing partner at Perkins Coie LLP. "There's still a lot of unknowns about the virus. We don't know whether there's going to be more variants that will morph."

"We were not penny-wise and pound-foolish limiting the technology just to the lawyers," James said. "That decision by management is reaping huge benefits in dividends that we're going see for many years to come because now we have a workforce that, at the drop of a hat, can be completely remote and be profitable."
