Jacob Hasler was quoted in the Corporate Counsel article, "Tech Expectations for Tomorrow’s Lawyers," regarding law firms staying on top of technology as a best practice and ethical obligation.

“Generally, it’s very common for us to receive a [request for proposal] where the client asks specifically that we use [artificial intelligence] in the engagement. … It usually comes down to them hoping we use AI to drive some level of efficiency and improve quality,” says Jacob.

Other firms have also turned to similar programs to find students with the right abilities and mindset. Jacob notes that Perkins Coie is a sponsor of the IFLIP organization and has provided internships through the organization for the past two years. Before IFLIP, the firm “created analogous technology-focused fellowships for law students … [which] led to one full-time position in our Knowledge Management group, and we expect that the IFLP internships will create similar opportunities going forward.”
