Gregg Barton was quoted in "Constitutional Challenge to Ohio Remote Tax Unlikely to Succeed, Panelist Says," an article in Tax Notes* regarding remote worker tax cases in Ohio and the challenges to pass laws to benefit them.

“Basically the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Constitution really doesn’t care what happens within a state,” Gregg said. “The taxpayers seem to be losing those cases, and that seems to be consistent with [precedent]. The state legislature can decide what to do with that.”

“My gut feeling is that does not change the result,” Gregg said. “If the employee has their own nexus with Ohio, the state of Ohio can decide which jurisdiction can tax that.”
