The state of Wisconsin's attack on President Barack Obama's climate agenda is officially underway. On April 8, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals granted newly elected Attorney General Brad Schimel's motion to join a pending lawsuit challenging the legality of the Environmental Protection Agency's proposed Clean Power Plan.
If it goes into effect, the plan would require that total carbon dioxide emissions from the power sector in the U.S. be reduced by 30% (from 2005 levels) by 2030. According to the state Public Service Commission, the plan will cost Wisconsin ratepayers between $3.1 billion and $13.4 billion dollars. Click here to read the full article.
