Julia Thomas is a patent agent with the firm's Intellectual Property practice.  She has fifteen years’ experience drafting computer and business methods-related patent applications and responses for U.S. and foreign patent offices in a wide variety of areas, including optimization algorithms, e-commerce, network security, graphics, printers, social media, online advertising, Internet service provider and client/server services, financial, insurance, risk, fraud, scoring, rules, predictive models and marketing.  Julia has also handled complex prosecution matters including appeals before the Board of Patent Appeals. Prior to patent prosecution, Julia worked in computer programming.
