Overview

William (Bill) J. Weissmeier oversees the technical operations of the E-Discovery Services & Strategy (ESS) practice at Perkins Coie. Bill manages the ESS Analyst and Trial Services teams. He consults with attorneys, clients, and staff regarding best practices for using technology to manage e-discovery projects and trial proceedings. He has e-discovery experience consulting in patent, antitrust, energy and environmental law, voting rights, political law and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) litigation matters. He has trial experience setting up off site war rooms, consulting on presentation technology, setting up and operating mock trial technology, and consulting on best practices for remote depositions, trials, and arbitrations.

Bill brings a broad range of experience to the firm’s ESS practice. He has more than 20 years of experience working in e-discovery and trial support, holding positions as an analyst, trial services specialist, practice support manager, technical manager, assistant director of client services and his current role as technical and trial services manager. He brings a wealth of knowledge to assisting legal teams and clients in designing and implementing technology solutions for discovery and trial management. As the technical and trial services manager, Bill provides comprehensive project planning advice and coordination throughout the identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, production, and presentation phases of the EDRM (Electronic Discovery Reference Model).
