Maria Stubbings’ practice focuses on litigating patents in the areas of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Maria has experience representing clients in Hatch-Waxman ANDA patent infringement disputes in district court and appellate litigation, as well as inter partes proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). She has experience in all facets of patent litigation, including claim construction, fact and expert discovery, pretrial motions, and trial.
While in law school, Maria served as the president of the Maryland Intellectual Property Student Association and participated in the University of Maryland Intellectual Property Clinic. She also gained experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Maria has a background in genetics and science communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
