Stephanie Loomis-Price has been mentioned in multiple publications regarding joining the firm.

Led by two newly hired Texas partners, Perkins Coie has added a tax and fiduciary litigation industry group to address the needs of clients of the firm’s personal planning practice.

“It’s a natural outgrowth to our firm’s dedication to founders and business leaders,” said Andy Smetana, managing partner of the firm’s Austin office.

The expansion of the personal planning practice is not directly related to the federal Inflation Reduction Act, which includes $79 billion in funding over 10 years for the Internal Revenue Service. Instead, Smetana said, it’s related to clients’ need for sophisticated tax planning and litigating disputes.

The new tax and fiduciary litigation industry group is co-chaired by former Winstead shareholders Stephanie Loomis-Price, who joined Perkins Coie as a partner in Austin on Tuesday.

They expect a number of associates from their former firm to join them at Perkins Coie in the near future.
