SEATTLE (February 8, 2022)—Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that it has been ranked among the top three firms nationally for patent challengers in U.S. district courts by Docket Navigator’s 2021 “Year in Review” report. The firm was recognized for achieving the highest patent challenger win rate, and leading the field for Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) petitioners based on number of proceedings. Perkins Coie also ranked fourth on the list of national firms that patent challengers hired the most in Hatch-Waxman abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) litigation last year.

Perkins Coie has consistently ranked among the top firms in Docket Navigator’s annual patent litigation report since its inception. The report provides an overview of key players and events in patent litigation and summarizes trends affecting the patent community, drawing from data collected from government sources that include Public Access to Court Electronic Records (commonly known as PACER), U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) databases, the U.S. International Trade Commission’s Electronic Document Information System, PTAB End to End, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
