Overview

Win is an experienced IP attorney who clients trust to provide practical, responsive, and business-savvy counseling.

Winfield "Win" Martin advises clients on all aspects of trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and internet and domain issues. He helps clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 50 companies in establishing and protecting trademarks and copyrights, and he designs and implements complex enforcement strategies to protect them. In his work, he manages expansive portfolios owned by global brands; protection of nontraditional trademarks such as product configuration and packaging, colors, and sounds; domain name arbitration proceedings; licensing; and corporate restructuring.

Win’s reputation as a practical advisor is informed by his experience in both private practice and in-house settings. For more than two years, Win was seconded to Amazon’s trademark group, where he worked on fast-moving teams that were crucial to building the company’s enforcement mechanisms and protocols. Informed by this experience, he integrates outside counsel with in-house partners, building highly responsive and trusted teams who take pride in understanding their clients’ businesses.

An active member of the community, Win serves on the board of trustees for the Seattle Children’s Theatre, has served on the board of QLaw, and was a member of Lambda Legal’s Young Professionals Committee.
