Overview

Win Martin is an intellectual property and technology lawyer who devotes his practice to advising clients on all aspects of trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and internet and domain issues. For over a decade, he has helped clients ranging from individuals to Fortune 50 companies establish and protect trademarks and copyrights and designed and implemented complex enforcement strategies to protect them. His experience spans the management of expansive and sophisticated portfolios owned by global brands, protection of nontraditional trademarks such as product configuration and packaging, along with colors and sounds, domain name arbitration proceedings, licensing, and corporate restructuring.

Win’s reputation as a trusted advisor who provides practical, concise, and business-savvy advice is informed by his combination of private practice experience and time embedded with in-house counsel. For more than two years, Win was seconded to Amazon’s trademark group, where he worked on fast-moving teams crucial to building the company’s enforcement mechanisms and protocols. Win leverages this knowledge to integrate outside counsel with in-house partners, building highly responsive, trusted teams who take pride in understanding their clients’ businesses.

Win has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Washington state from 2017 through 2022 and by Best Lawyers as a “One To Watch” from 2021 through 2023. He currently serves on the board of trustees for the Seattle Children’s Theatre, has served on the board of QLaw, and was a member of Lambda Legal’s Young Professionals Committee.
