Vikram performs strategic patent counseling, and prepares and prosecutes U.S. and international patent applications for clients.
Vikram Iyengar combines a deep scientific and technical background with thorough legal analysis to counsel clients in intellectual property (IP) matters presenting novel legal challenges that frequently arise from cutting-edge emerging technologies. His clients include those in the artificial intelligence, blockchain, virtual reality devices, space tech, energy transition, and social media tech spaces.
Vikram also provides support on inter partes reviews, patent portfolio analysis, intellectual property due diligence, and freedom to operate analysis and IP due diligence.
Prior to attending Stanford Law School, Vikram worked as a senior engineer at IBM Corporation, where he served on IBM's invention disclosure review board, managing invention disclosure meetings and working with outside counsel. He was also a key technical contributor to IBM's microelectronics business, designing circuits for supercomputers, smartphones, and internet routers.
A recognized inventor, Vikram has been awarded 25 U.S. patents and has had his work published in books, leading peer-reviewed engineering journals, and law reviews.
