Intellectual Property practice senior IP lawyer Stefan Blum focuses his practice on trademark, copyright, media and brand protection. His trademark experience includes prosecuting trademark applications; counseling clients on trademark and brand creation, selection, maintenance, protection and domestic/international filing strategies; conducting trademark clearance searches; managing multinational trademark portfolios; domain name management and monitoring; and investigating infringement claims.
In addition, Stefan counsels clients on copyright license agreements, non-disclosure agreements and intellectual property audits. He also has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the biological, chemical, software and mechanical arenas. Prior to his law career, Stefan was a microbiologist whose responsibilities included performing biological testing to detect and identify potentially hazardous pathogenic agents for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
