Michelle Chan represents clients on environmental, land use and real property matters. She has particular experience with CEQA, including advising on compliance efforts, preparing initial studies, negative declarations and environmental impact reports for development projects as well as dealing with land use issues and challenges to environmental review documents. Additionally, Michelle counsels on California Coastal Act compliance, local zoning ordinances and real property permitting and entitlement requirements.
Michelle’s real estate transaction experience includes developing purchase and sale agreements, development agreements and joint use and occupancy agreements. She advises clients on public law matters, including compliance with the Brown Act, conflict of interest issues and competitive bidding requirements for public work projects.
