Overview

Michael Carr represents emerging companies throughout their life cycle, beginning with entity formation, growth transactions, and corporate governance matters, through to sale, acquisition, or change of ownership. In addition, he serves as outside counsel to these clients, assisting with day-to-day legal and business matters.

Michael also advises private equity and venture capital funds in mergers and acquisitions transactions, with experience on both the buy- and sell-side. Representing the portfolio companies of his private equity clients, he provides guidance in connection with strategic add-on acquisitions and operational execution. In addition to more traditional work, Michael has developed significant industry-specific knowledge in mining-related transactions.  

Active in his community, Michael is a member of the boards of directors of Friends of Zoo Boise and the Downtown Boise Foundation, Inc., which focuses on the city’s economic development and community betterment. He also serves on the board of advisors for the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce.
