Lena Petrovic focuses on patent prosecution for innovative startups in the software and hardware industries. She drafts patents, reviews and responds to office actions and has experience with copyright licensing. Lena also has trademark experience, including managing trademark portfolios, drafting and filing trademark applications and researching prior art.
Lena is an active member of San Francisco’s Serbian Entrepreneurship Club and provides pro bono advice to independent inventors and small businesses as part of the California Inventors Assistance Program.
Prior to her legal career, Lena worked at Pixar for 10 years and holds multiple patents for animation methods she developed. She received her M.A. in computer science from Princeton University and her B.S. in computer science and applied mathematics, with honors, from California Institute of Technology before earning her J.D., magna cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law. Lena’s background gives her a deep understanding of software development that informs her comprehensive counsel to clients.
