Overview

Lauren Kulpa advises clients, from small employers and startups to Fortune 500 companies, on employment policies, practices, and litigation. Skilled in advising on sensitive internal employment issues, Lauren helps clients mitigate risk through solutions tailored to their specific needs. Her deep experience includes complex litigation and workplace investigations, particularly those involving C-suite and other high-level employees.

Lauren regularly litigates claims of harassment, discrimination, and wage-and-hour violations, as well as brings claims on behalf of her clients for violations of noncompete and confidentiality agreements and trade secret misappropriation. She defends employers against single plaintiff, class action, and collective action matters in federal and California and Texas state courts. She also protects her clients’ interests before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and state workforce agencies.

During the current pandemic, Lauren has actively advised and counseled clients on issues related to COVID-19 in the workplace. These include such topics as employee leave, workplace safety, return-to-work policies, vaccination policies, and workforce reductions. She also guides clients through the ever-changing laws surrounding cannabis use and the workplace.

Active in her community, Lauren was selected for the Dallas Bar Association’s WE LEAD: Women Empowered to Lead in the Legal Profession 2021 class. She is a member of the Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County board of directors, and she regularly advises nonprofits on various employment issues on a pro bono basis.
